Google search engine handles more than 3.8 million searches per minute and 228 million searches per hour, 5.6 billion searches per day, or 2 trillion searches per year. This is the reason every single business around the business has a presence on google search results, google map results.

Google provides a free but very effective feature called “Google My Business Account” to every business. Any true business around the globe can use this feature and no more restrictions. Recently, One of my friend started “Call Taxi Service” and he reached out to me about ‘google my business account’. I helped him to create google my business account. It’s quite easy!.

Working Gmail Id and a true business are the needed things to create a google my business account. Follow the below steps to create a google business my business account for your business,

 

Step 1 : Search “Google My Business” on google search

Step 2 : You will get the search results like below, You can directly get into the google business link by clicking this link [https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/business/]

Also search results show the business accounts that are all created under your gmail account. Here i have created business account for my friend’s call taxi service “Classy Taxi” and by clicking the “view profile” option i can check how it will show to the users. 

Step 3 : Click this link [https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/business/]

You will see a page below with options “Sign In” and “Manage Now” at top right corner. 

Step 5 : Provide your gmail username and password

Step 6 : Now you will see a homepage of google business account as below. Here you can find any of your existing locations or pending or draft locations. For example, here i had my classy taxi business account profile that is currently in active status and the another one hotel location that was created for training purposes so it wasn’t approved.

Step 7 : Click the “Add Locations” option

Step 8 : It will show two options for your business : 1. Add Single Location 2. Import Locations

Step 9 : If your business services work from a single location then you should choose the “Add Single Location” option. If you are having a hotel or restaurant business and you have provided your business services from various locations then the “Import Locations” option is suitable for you. This option will provide you with capabilities to maintain all locations at one place.

Step 10 : Now you will be redirected to the below page. Here you can find businesses that are matched with your business name. For better experience and unique search results you can choose a unique business name.

 

Step 11 : You have two options to create your google business account. 1. Create a business with this name 2. Add your business to google

Step 12 : Enter your business name under the box “What’s the name of your business?” and click the next button.Here i am entering “Winner’s Tution Center”. If you are clicking the next button it means that you will be accepting the terms and conditions of google.

Step 13 : Choose the category that fits your business best : Here you must choose the best suitable category of your business. You can select the category only that is available here. Here I am choosing “Studying Center” then click Next

Step 14 : Do you want to add a location customers can visit, like a store or office? : If you are having a standard location for your business then choose “Yes” otherwise select “No”

Step 15 : Many of the services have a real location. So select “Yes” button

Step 16 : Here i am just entering the example tuition center location where it is available in new york. [Keep in mind that : Google will send a verification code to this address so enter valid address to avoid any further confusions]

Step 17 : Is this your business? : Google shows some match results for your business. If this is not your business then click “this doesn’t match”

 

Step 18 : Do you also serve customers outside this location? : If you serve customers outside the entered location then you can choose “Yes, I also serve them outside my location” otherwise “No, I don’t”. Here i am choosing “No”

Step 19 : What contact details do you want to show to customers : Please provide the valid contact number and website url, if you have any. Google My Business also provides a simple free Google My business website. So you can select “Get a free website based on your info”

Step 20 : Click the finish button. Now you will be completing the google my business account setup process.

Step 21 : Top most step for creating a google my business account is “verification”. In order to fully manage and represent this business on Google, you’ll need to confirm that it’s yours. Select how you’d like to get a verification code. Postcard is the only option currently to verify a standard business location. Postcard will be sent to you to the address that is provided by you. Normally, It will take 5 to 7 Days.Please enter your contact name and click “Mail”

Step 22 : You will have the option to select the working hours. You can select at this moment or can skip.

Step 23 : Add Business Description : Please take more care when you provide the business description. It will help the customers to find the right business so write what you can provide.

Step 24 : Add photos related to your business or skip

Step 25 : Almost your business profile is ready now and you business page looks like below, Here you can manage everything and you can use the below features of google business without any cost, 

>> You can get custom email for your business
